Pastor Terry Jones

I bet this was a surprise, but nonetheless, Pastor Terry Jones first question should have been after his church planned to burn Qur’an’s in this past September 11, am I liable to foot the bill so the local authorities protect me and the people in the city I live in because I’m doing something stupid to possibly harm people in my community by my own actions?

The city plans to send Pastor Terry Jones a bill at $180,000.00 for the security costs surrounding his controversial burn the Qur’an day. Since this little proposed event was likely a publicity stunt for his 50 member church, it is now more than they likely bargained for.

The Pastor is now claiming if he knew they would send him a bill, he wouldn’t have asked for security. I’d imagine though this security was more than just protecting this complete ass clown though. With an event that targets another religion on this type of scale, the city was probably also preparing for the worse in the surrounding areas as well, public safety I’m sure.

Now that the Pastor called off his little burn event, things have settled down and the city likely realizes the Pastor and his church are to blame, so they get the bill. When this little event prompted demonstrations around the world, better prepared than not prepare.

Let this be a lesson to everyone, do stupid things and cost the city you live in a whole lot of money and resources, expect to pay the bill.
